On the Rains

If you notice the rain drops on the window pane or any vertical/slant surface falling for the first time, you'll notice that it follows an unique path. It runs down from top to bottom leaving the watery mark as it flows downward.

Now when the other drops fall, they start making a new path, slowly, gradually, but the moment they encounter an already traced path (which has the watery amount left), they quickly retrace it. The past which took a long time to happen is now quickly traced, in a fraction of second, like a memory.

The Rain on the Window Pane reminds me of the past. The Memories. The way it freshens up all the leaves, resulting them in a darker shade of Green, they do something same to my memories.

The Rains in real sense cannot be seen all by itself like a memory which can be seen only with eyes closed. The only reason, why we are able to see it is because we have enough of background to highlight it: the trees, the buildings, the surface of the roads. May be this is the reason why sometimes, at the onset of rains or when it is drizzling very lightly, we end up asking the person next to us to confirm whether the rain has started or not. We are able to see the rain because of the background. Try numbing your other senses, stare at the sky while it's raining; you won't be able to see it.

The Rains demands to be felt the same way; with our eyes closed and opening all the other senses. The smell of the Soil, the rustling of the leaves, the partial goosebumps on the skin and a taste of merriness in the air; very much like the First Kiss.
