Plant and the Cloud

There once was a plant,
Growing up was its want.
It looked up to sky in want,
To Tree from a Plant.

“Not right now, Right now I can’t”

It went on for years,
The plant would look up to sky waiting for it to rain, pleading for it but it only rained when it had to. The plant has now grown over the years into a Tree.

It is now an Autumn Season and it has no leaves

“You look same as once you were a Plant,
To Grow, is that what you want?"

“Yes, but why ask, when you can’t,
You’ll rain only when you want.”

“It’ll rain, when it’ll rain.
Let me get you dress. Right now, this is what I want.”

The Cloud enveloping the Tree,
so, that it feels like it hasn't lost it Leaves.

The Plant and the Cloud became best of the friends thereafter.

I saw the Original Picture on Facebook Page. It was uploaded by Earth Porn and I felt like writing something on it. After I completed writing it, I asked my brother +Pratyush Raj to help me make a illustration for the story in between the two paragraphs. He was happy to help me out. As a result, this is my first poem which is accompanied by illustration. Thank You, Pratyush.
